The NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement is an arm’s-length national body supporting the NHS to transform healthcare for patients and the public by rapidly developing and spreading new ways of working, new technology and world-class leadership. The Virtual College has been an innovator and market leader in e-learning since its inception in 1995. We support hundreds of thousands of learners with their easy to use on-line training programmes.

E-Learning, a partnership

The NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement and The Virtual College have combined their expertise to create a jointly owned e-Learning suite to support The Productive Series programme.

The aim of the joint venture is to rapidly establish a capability for the NHS Institute to provide a structured virtual learning environment readily available to support the Productive Series Programme.

Using the technology and platform provided by the Virtual College and the content for the courses from the NHS Institute we are providing a comprehensive and scalable supporting service to deliver training in an efficient and low cost way both to individuals and organisations.

The programme incorporates a clear curriculum for innovation and improvement in the NHS, using content from the NHS Institute’s Productive Series experts, together with valued accreditation and potential for professional development to the highest standards.
